About Raine or Shine

Raine or Shine Alternative Energy Solutions was first established in 2005 by Graeme Raine following a lifetime passion for renewable energy. The Company has grown rapidly since that time. We now deliver bespoke services to our customers at competitive prices. We specialise in the energy consultation, specification, design, supply and installation of various renewable energy technologies including hydro, geothermal, wind and in particular Solar PV (Electricity) and Solar Thermal (Hot water) for domestic and commercial market. We also offer mentoring and support to the many businesses, including ones we have trained ourselves or those that have approached us, having gained qualifications themselves but with no hands-on experience.

After gaining invaluable experience of the domestic and light commercial market, the business became incorporated as a limited company in 2007.

As a result of the continuing growth the Company has increased its staff numbers from two full time staff and five subcontractors in 2007, to six full-time members of staff, three part-time staff and over 60 subcontractors both local and national at the present time. This gives us the experience, logistical and training capability to be able to handle contracts of any size.

We also have an eco showroom on the North Wales border, where clients can see renewable energy products and displays, offering the consumer a hands on experience. This is a unique advantage we have over our competitors as no other solar installer offers this opportunity in the surrounding areas.

We are MCS accredited for Solar PV, Solar Thermal and Ground/Air Source Heat Pumps. We are looking to have MCS accreditation for all technologies by the end of the 2011.

In addition to the installations, we have also set up an online shop where other traders and members of the public can browse and purchase our products for themselves and the new premises allow us to hold more stock for the orders.
